Reducing friction in enquiry forms
Every field you add costs you enquiries. A shorter, clearer form often outperforms a longer one that collects more — but worse — data.

Each question on a form asks the visitor to give up time and, often, a little privacy. Individually that is small; together it is the difference between an enquiry and an abandoned page. The form should ask only for what you will actually use.
A useful rule is to justify every field against an action it enables.
A clear label and an obvious next step convert better than a clever one. Say what will happen after submission, how long it takes and what the visitor gets, so there is no reason to hesitate.
Fewer fields usually means more enquiries, but not necessarily better ones. Test changes against lead quality as well as volume, because a form that produces more, poorer leads can cost more than it earns.
